明石の天文科学館と魚の棚商店街で昼飲み
兵庫県明石市は「日本標準時のまち」
「子午線のまち」として知られています。
今回は関西在住の先輩とぶらぶら散歩しつつ
明石海峡大橋の雄大な景色を眺めたり、
明石市立天文科学館で子午線を体感し、
魚の棚（うぉんたな）商店街を散策した後、
人気の居酒屋マジメヤで昼飲みを楽しみました。
写真とともに明石の魅力を紹介します。
Akashi City in Hyogo Prefecture is famous as the "City of Japan Standard Time" and the "City of the Meridian."
This time, we enjoyed the magnificent view of the Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge, visited the Akashi Municipal Planetarium to experience the 135° meridian, strolled through the Uonotana Shopping Street, and had a delightful daytime drink at the popular izakaya Majimeya.

1. 明石海峡大橋の絶景 / The Scenic Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge

2. 明石駅と街並み / Akashi Station and Cityscape
明石駅周辺は高層マンションや
商業施設が立ち並ぶ便利なエリア。
駅前の川沿いの景色も近代都市らしい雰囲気です。
The area around Akashi Station is lined with high-rise apartments and shopping facilities.
The riverside view near the station adds a modern urban atmosphere.
3. ご当地マンホール / Local Manhole Cover
明石のマンホール蓋には、子午線を象徴する
「135°東経」と天文台のデザイン。
歩きながらご当地感を楽しめます。
The manhole cover in Akashi features the 135° east meridian and the planetarium design, symbolizing the city’s identity.
It’s a small but charming detail while strolling the streets.
4. 亀の水（湧水） / Kame-no-Mizu Spring

明石城跡の近くにある湧水「亀の水」。
古くから清水として利用されてきました。
亀の口から水が流れ出る様子は、
今も地元の人々に親しまれています。
Kame-no-Mizu is a spring located near the ruins of Akashi Castle.
For centuries, it has provided fresh water, flowing from the mouth of a turtle-shaped spout.
5. 明石市立天文科学館 / Akashi Municipal Planetarium
明石市立天文科学館は、
子午線のまちの象徴。
大きな時計塔が目印で、館内ではプラネタリウムや
天文学の展示を楽しめます。
The Akashi Municipal Planetarium stands as a symbol of the meridian city.
Its large clock tower is iconic, and inside, visitors can explore astronomy exhibits and a planetarium.
6. 山陽電鉄の電車 / Sanyo Electric Railway Train

山陽電鉄で明石駅に戻ります

ローカル線ならではの旅情があります。

It offers convenient access from Akashi toward Himeji, with the charm of a local line.
7. JR・山陽 明石駅 / JR & Sanyo Akashi Station
JR明石駅と山陽明石駅は
隣接しており、観光に便利な拠点。
駅周辺には商業施設や飲食店も揃っています。
JR Akashi Station and Sanyo Akashi Station are located side by side, making it a convenient hub for sightseeing.
Shops and restaurants are also abundant around the station.
8. 魚の棚商店街 / Uonotana Shopping Street
魚の棚（うおんたな）商店街は、
明石の台所と呼ばれる場所。
新鮮な海の幸や明石焼きの店が並び、
観光客で賑わっています。
明石のタコや明石の鯛などが
ならんでいましたよ！
The Uonotana Shopping Street, known as the “Kitchen of Akashi,” is lined with shops offering fresh seafood and Akashi-yaki.
It is always bustling with tourists and locals alike.
9. 居酒屋マジメヤで昼飲み / Daytime Drinking at Majimeya
商店街の居酒屋マジメヤで昼から一杯。
新鮮な刺身と冷たい生ビールは格別の味わいです。
At Majimeya Izakaya, located near Uonotana, we enjoyed a daytime drink.
Fresh sashimi paired with a cold draft beer was simply heavenly.
アクセス / Access
JR明石駅・山陽明石駅から徒歩すぐ。
魚の棚商店街、天文科学館とも駅から近く、観光に便利です。
ここから高速船で淡路島に渡るのも面白いですよ！
淡路島にはレンタルバイクもあり
島ツーリングを楽しむことができますよ！！
