岐阜県郡上市を走る「せせらぎ街道」は、全国のライダーに愛されるツーリングルート。その途中にある「道の駅 明宝」は、屋根付きのバイク専用駐輪場もあり、ライダーの休憩スポットとして大人気です。 "Seseragi Highway" in Gujo City, Gifu is one of the most popular routes for motorcyclists in Japan. "Roadside Station Meihō" offers wide parking and even a roofed area for bikes — a perfect pit stop for riders. 

🏇 磨墨の像
Statue of Surusumi

入り口前には、源頼朝に仕えた武将・梶原景季（「鎌倉殿の１３人」の一人頼朝の命を助けた梶原景時の嫡男）の名馬「磨墨（するすみ）」の雄姿。力強く駆ける姿が印象的なブロンズ像です。 この地がこの名馬の産地なのだとかIn front of the entrance stands a bronze statue of the legendary horse "Surusumi," known for its powerful gallop. Surusumi was the steed of Kagekatsu Kajiwara, a samurai who served Minamoto no Yoritomo. Kagekatsu was the son of Kagetoki Kajiwara—one of the "13 Retainers of the Kamakura Shogun"—who once saved Yoritomo's life. It is said that this area is the birthplace of the famed horse.

Meihō Ham & Keichan Chicken

ご当地名物「明宝ハム」や「鶏ちゃん（けいちゃん）」が並ぶ直売所は、お土産探しに最適！味噌味や黒どりなど種類も豊富です。 The direct sales area offers famous "Meihō Ham" and "Keichan" (local chicken marinated in miso or soy sauce). Great for souvenirs or grilling at your campsite!
