梅雨の時期の楽しみといえば、やっぱりアジサイ。
Hydrangeas are a true delight during Japan's rainy season.
滋賀県守山市にある「もりやま芦刈園」では、日本と西洋、合わせて約100品種・1万本ものアジサイが園内を美しく彩ります。
Moriyama Ashikari-en in Shiga Prefecture showcases over 100 varieties and 10,000 hydrangeas from both Japan and the West.
滋賀県には湖東三山をはじめとする古刹がたくさんあり、妻の人とそれらを訪問するのが最近の週末の過ごし方となってまいりました。今回もそうした古刹を巡るドライブ途中で立ち寄りました
"Shiga Prefecture is home to many ancient temples, including the famous Kotō Sanzan, and recently, visiting these historic sites with my wife has become our typical way of spending the weekends. During one such drive to tour these temples, we stopped by here as well."

もりやま芦刈園は、守山市が誇るアジサイの名所。
Moriyama Ashikari-en is a renowned hydrangea garden in Moriyama City.
日本原産のガクアジサイやヤマアジサイ、西洋アジサイなどがバランス良く植えられ、それぞれの花に名札が添えられています。
Various types of hydrangeas including native Japanese and Western species are labeled and beautifully arranged.

Open: June 1 to June 30 - 時間：9:00〜17:00（最終入園 16:30）
Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm (Last entry: 4:30pm) - 料金：
Admission:- 大人・高校生：200円
Adults & High School Students: 200 yen - 小中学生・65歳以上・障がい者：100円
Children, Seniors (65+), Persons with Disabilities: 100 yen - 幼児：無料

園内では多くの昆虫🪲が観られます

大きなビオトープがあり、ヤゴやアメンボの姿が見られました

- 平日は比較的空いていてゆっくり鑑賞できる
Weekdays are less crowded – enjoy leisurely viewing - 見頃は6月中旬～下旬
Best viewing: mid to late June - 雨の日の来園もおすすめ（傘と長靴を忘れずに）
Visiting on rainy days is recommended (bring umbrella and boots) - 日陰が少ないため、晴天時は帽子・飲み物の準備を！
Few shaded areas – bring a hat and drinks on sunny days
